On top of that he’s also the kind of person you look forward to sitting down at the dinner table with. Working with Tony is certainly one of the reasons why I am competing on the World Cup level today.” -Erik Arvidsson, March 2024

CAROLYN BECKEDORFF

Carolyn Beckedorff's professional journey is a blend of personal athletic achievement as a D1 skier and soccer player for the University of New Hampshire, an expansive coaching career, and a 24-year tenure as the Head Trader for a Boston-based hedge fund. This fusion of athletic, coaching, and business experience is mirrored in her approach to sports, where she applies these same principles to athlete development and coaching strategies.

Carolyn’s commitment to skiing and community extends beyond personal accolades. She previously served as a board member at Stratton Mountain School, her alma mater, and as a board member at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts. Over the span of her career, she has mentored athletes and coaches at every level and serves as a coach developer for USSS. Carolyn’s passion for ski racing has also thrived on the World Masters FIS circuit, where she has earned numerous US, FIS, and World Championship medals.

Most recently, Carolyn has had the honor of contributing to the ski racing community by volunteering for Burke Mountain Academy’s E-Team during the 2022-2023 season and working with D1 college and post-college athletes on the NCAA and Nor-Am circuits during the 2023-2024 season.  Carolyn also has the distinct privilege of serving as the Mental Performance Coach to a select few European Cup/World Cup athletes, complementing her technical coaching with a support system that enhances athletes' mental skills and training. This holistic approach has led to marked improvements in athletes' mental fortitude, significantly contributing to their ability to perform and to their overall good health and happiness.

Carolyn's interest in the psychological aspects of sports has recently driven her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Psychology (May 2025 completion) and work towards a Mental Performance Coach certification. This commitment to personal growth underscores her dedication to advancing ski racing through holistic, comprehensive athlete development, with a focus on both athlete and coach well-being.

Outside of the professional realm, Carolyn is married to Tony DiGangi and the mother of a successful alpine ski racer competing at the Nor-Am/D1 College level.

"Working with Carolyn has helped me be more consciously aware of how my brain works in this sport. I've gained maturity and patience, which are two crucial values to have, especially in ski racing. I now have tools to help me react to any adversities. I have for sure remained more process-oriented, and I think the Palisades race was a result of that." -Patrick Kenney, March 2024
